An important part of the so-called “ISHA-experience” is the international exchange provided by the organization of various events (Weekend-Seminars, Annual Conferences, New Year’s, Spring and Summer Seminars).
Throughout the year, various ISHA sections take over the task of hosting a certain number of foreign students interested in historical topics. They provide them with academic and cultural programs as well as accommodation, food and a relaxed atmosphere that fosters the bonding beyond national as well as academic borders.
If you are interested in organizing one of these events yourself, you will find information to help you through the whole process in this manual.
The manual is designed to help you with your task by providing you with some of the lessons ISHA has learned over the years.
In total you will find information on funding your event, program planning including traditional parts of ISHA events, accommodation and food as well as workshop guidelines and information about the academic program in general. Additionally you will find a checklist at the end of the manual.
